LoveJunk: Studio Synergies February 26 2015

“Synergy” is defined as the interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects (OED). In Studio Synergies, LoveJunk (Marie Boal and Lisa Meschino) plot three years of sharing a studio in Toronto’s Junction using their visual work as connecting points. The necessity of creating and storing their work side-by-side in a small space lead to an early discovery in the evolution of LoveJunk. Despite their different creative approaches, Lisa and Marie observed similar trends in their work. Studio Synergies will chronicle the evolution of these trends and try to discover at which points osmosis occurred.

The exhibit is on from February 26th to March 4, 2015
